    Never saw one before.

I saw a badger on our lease while riding a cut sunflower field Saturday. All the years I've spent in the outdoors and I had never seen one before. He didn't give me time to take a picture put I'm positive it was a badger I was probably within five yards of him. We hunt some pretty remote country NW of Childress. My buddy spotted a Mountain Lion Saturday as well. Anyone here have experiences with badgers here in Texas?

I've seen 2 on my grandpas place in orange grove. That's 2 total not at the same time, in my 26 yrs of hunting down there.

I've shot one about 8 years back (with a rifle), not a clean shot, but he died, talk about the most careful walk up of a dead animal i've ever made, that is one animal that I dont' want to be 5 yards from when their alive. Beautiful animals though, wish i mounted him.
