Tried one on the e.tx lease...
All setup.. took care to keep it free of human scent...applied estrous scent ..
Was two hours into the sit..when it happened...
Some noise and movement from the road behind the decoy.. and then he appeared.
The jackarse from the next section over driving through our lease with his family.
After some choice words and a call to the lease manager hes no longer on the lease and the decoy was retired.

I have had a lot of luck using the decoy to lure does out into a field. it does seem to put them at ease. I have had them come out to graze and bed down near the decoys for long periods of time. if your decoys have removable legs, you can leave them off and sit them flat on the ground in a bedded position on windy days. If it's a standing decoy, Drill a hole where the tail would be and stuff the corner of a white kleenx or paper towell into so it will move with a breeze. Never had a buck approach it, but they did come out to check the live does. Hunting in East Texas.
