    Made a bigger rookie mistake

In response to the other guys rookie mistake thread.

I made a bigger rookie mistake. after drinking most of the afternoon I start messing with my new tracer knocks. The didnt work right. My buddy texxfletch tells me to try something else.

SO, I start taking off my muzzy broad head off a CF arrows that was a bit stubborn going on. BARE HANDS mind you.

Muzzy BUSTS loose, and I cut the living crap out of my thumb and pointer finger (blood SQUIRTS through garage). literally. ****IT. run to kitchen was out with dish soap (still almost squiring). wife comes with cotton balls and electrical tape. gets me squared away. tells me to take advil (cut me real good).

I then go back to me beer and bow finageling and the tracer still doesnt work!? DANMIT! I gave up. I am now drinking beer again typing this to you.

BE CAREFUL AROUND YOU BLADES FOLKS! No Sense in making the stupid mistake I made. Use gloves or a "tool"...

Yes I know. I am a redneck... I am proud of it. trying to use it against me is pointless

I love to shoot bows and love to partake of the grain. But never ever do both at the same time. That includes working on said bow/arrows...

I did that at the bow shop once while they were restringing my bow...those Slick Tricks will cut through you like nothing else. I left quite a bloodtrail out to the truck for some shop towels and Gorilla tape!!!

No brewskis involved in my case...it was all me!!!

                  Pics?

Still have a scar across my thumb where I cut it to the bone on a broadhead trying to remove it without a tool (no beer involved). After sitting at the emergency room for over an hour with a long wait ahead I went home and superglued it.

I learned not to fool around with my bow if I see more than the three pins on my site. It seems that I see about a dozen if I've had more than a sixer. Next time I recommend you just play with razor blades.

There's that split second when you say what was I thinking!!?? Then feel it start cutting. Same thing except not drinking. Thumb and forefinger. Tape and gauze. Wasp 3-blade about 29 years ago. Did find something to drink putting the bandage on.
And it seemed like it as going to be so easy.
