    Zero turn mowers

What are the best ones out there and which ones does a person need to stay away from? I am going to have to get one for next year and want to start looking now. Should be some good deals out there.

Grasshopper is a top of the line mower. Pricey but good.

Brandon, do a search. There have been a few threads on here that were very helpful to me. I bought mine this mowing season and it has really made a difference in my work load. I went with a Gravely, mostly because I have used that Mom and Pop dealership for a long time and know that they will take good care of me and my machine in the future. It cut my mowing time considerable.

I'm looking too Brandon - hoping there will be some offseason deals. I'm doing some research, trying to figue out how much of a machine I really need. I just mow about an acre once a week for a few months a year. I noticed that Sears is having a pretty good sale on their Craftsman models. (don't know who makes them for Sears) For example the lowest end ZTR that usually sells for around $3,200 is on sale for about $2,500.

Get the one with the Beer holder because both hands will be busy with the control bars.

I know that everyone says to stay away from the big box stores brands but I got a Troy Built Mustang from Lowes and I love it.

Scag, Gravely, Kubota, Xmark.... I have heard good things about Hustler as well.

I have a 1999 Scag turf tiger that I bought used. Great mower, but don't think I could swing a new one. I have used this one for 6 seasons and still going strong. Total service over that time period has been less than $500.

I love my Scag 48". I looked at all the brands when i purchased mine 4 years ago. Scag seemed the heaviest built to me and that is important since I am rough on equipment and I will use this unit for many years. No problems with my Scag.

been using Ferris commercial mowers for about 6 years now..... cant beat them! Ive had the chance to be on some other mowers with similar capabilities (xmark, scag, yazoo) and found that i still like my ferris mowers better.....

im running a 48'' ferris with a kawasaki engine most of the time right now...... great handling and clean crisp cut

I bought a demo Ferris mower this year and love it.

With the 4 wheel suspension it really rides smooth.

Get a Scag with a Kawazaki motor. Both are great.
