    rubber boots vs. other boots

I have scent lock hunting boots and I like them but I was wondering if other peopel use rubber only. I have rubber also, but rarely use them

I've used rubber boots for years. Best scent control product there is IMHO. I just have to buy the kind that has the expanding tops to get them on and off.

as said, nothing beats rubber boots for hunting deer &or hogs - and walking through the mud
but I have other lace up leather boots for bird hunting
and stocking foot fly-weight waders with lace up rubber boots for duck hunting and kayak fishing in the winter.

I wear snake boots. Would like to give the rubber boot a try, but the snake boots ease my mind a bit.

Every full rubber boot I've tried makes a popping sound at the ankle as they flex when you walk in them. Too noisy. I hunt in cheap Walmart thinly insulated or uninsulated pac boots with fabric uppers...

Seems to be the best of both worlds. Wouldn't want to hike all day in them, but for just walking to and from stand, I find them to be ideal. When you're just sitting in the stand, it's also nice to be able to move your toes around a bit and these are roomy enough inside to do that. Very comfortable and did I mention they're cheap?

I just use whatever I feel is appropriate at the time. If it's hot, then I wear lightweight boots. If it's wet/muddy, I wear rubber boots. If it's cold I wear something with a little insulation

I wear leather boots but spray em down real good before hitting the stand.

The LaCrosse Grange (green rubber boots with yellow band around top) are super comfortable and I hear they are good for containing scent. (for those with smelly feet!!)
They do get hot on warmer days though.
