Took my 12 yr old daughter on her first bow hunt this weekend. We hunt in a pop up blind that i have brushed in really well. I have had deer within 13yds and not know i was there. We had a couple of good bucks come in Sat. morning but they would not settle down and eat(she moves to much) so they just kinda eased on out. Sun. morning a spike came in to the feeder and i asked if she wanted him she said she did. As she was trying to draw he busted us and ran off. She was real dissapointed. I asked if she had a good time , she said she had a great time. I asked if she was ready to go again next weekend. She asked when was gun season I said a couple of weeks and she said I CAN WAIT... no more big bucks were getiing away and that she needed a bigger gun this year. Im happy this weekend didn't make her want to stop hunting, she just wants bigger gun. Take you kids hunting and enjoy all that comes out of it.
