The Rut is on!!!

Went behind my house and hunted just to see what would come by. I had a 7 point buck chasing a doe all around my food plot. I will not shot anything at the house but culls but it was fun to watch. Got some video but he was going so fast it was hard to follow out of my tent blind.

I had a 4 pt walk up on me Sunday morning trying to figure me out. His neck was very swollen!

Never seen this before in "real" life, but watched a small buck make a scrape Saturday morning. There were 2 nice sized bucks in the wheat field Saturday evening that put their heads together and did a little pushing, but not really fighting. Won't be long before we see the real thing, fighting, chasing, breeding, etc.

Saw a good buck chasing a doe and another one bout 300yrds up watching a doe about 10yrds behind her yesterday evening.

They were chasing in Victoria this weekend and watched a nice 10 make a scrape about 50 yards from me, very cool!

Ouch....i thought it was me! I will always pass on the "rut" as the pre-rut is when big boyz get on there feet and start the "seeking phase" that puts them where bowhunters have the best chances!
