N.E. Kansas report

Hunted N.E. KS this weekend. I will call it early pre-rut. Early mornings when it was cool there was some activity, young bucks chasing, an occasional larger buck cruising, but nothing too serious. EVERYTHING shut down in the afternoons when it warmed up (70's & 80's). I ended up taking a doe. Still looking like ther first couple weekends of November, depending upon weather to me.

I saw a 6 point grunting and chasing here in east texas this morn for about 30 mins, better be glad he wasnt a shooter casue I had ample opportunity to smoke him. Good Luck, I sure hope I can hunt Kansas next year, getting ready now.

Nov.1-5th for me. What town were you near?

I am in Overland Park (sub of KC), they have been moving most around 5:30 pm(ish).
