There's another one somewhere nearby. They always come in twos.
The second one will definitely seek revenge for killing it's mate.
They been known to track a man for days and for miles and miles.
The usually get you while you sleep.

When I was about 6 my Dad and I went squirrel hunting, we weren't seeing any squirrels and had been walking a while. I was tired so we sat down on this old tree that had been blown over at some point. We sat there a little bit and Dad asked me if I wanted to shoot the gun. Well of course I did. So he handed me a can that we had been drinking out of said to go sit us up a target. Now I was a little guy and couldn't touch the ground while I was sitting on that log. So I just took a jump off of it. Right as my feet hit the ground a Copperhead struck at me. My dad saw it and with one hand he gave me an incredible Hulk type push which sent me flying. Before my feet hit the ground he was shooting the snake , I don't think he hit it but once or twice but he did kill it. His adrenaline was going like crazy , after that . Kinda freaked him out I think . After that we went home .I don't remember us ever going squirrel hunting again.
