what size of broadhead should I use....

I got my daughter a Hoyt Banshee from a friend. We took it up to Cinnamon creek ranch and got the poundage and draw length adjusted. I forgot to ask them about broad head selection. She is a 26" draw a @ 30#s of draw weight. She has Beaman ICS Camo Hunter arrows. I cant remember if they are 340 or 400s.

What size broad heads should I use.

Not in any way trying to be a smart aleck. But, sharp, and well placed are the two key operative words.

2 blade cut on contact is what I would reccomend. Stingers without the bleeder blade is what my 10 year old is shooting.

this and I'm not sure how beeman does it but my axis the 340 is stiffer then the 400. She needs the weakest spine and a coc head.

My son shot stingers until this year now that he's gotten to 52 lbs.

              X4, but I would use 125g.

My wife shot the magnus stinger buzz cuts and they did really well at 40 lbs. Plus magnus has a great guarantee

I use the black two blade Magnus heads.

A two blade without bleeders will give you the best penetration. With a 30# bow, keep the shots close!

I am anticipating her longest shot at 15-18 yds based on the stand we will be hunting out of. I did not want to have 2 heavy of a broad head and have it affecting her arrow flight. It sounds like magnus 2 blade will be the trick.

Probably a 85gr. Magnus on a 500 spine arrow would be my suggestion. Seems like a 400 might be a little stiff at that low poundage, and 340 most definately will.

Here is the entire Magnus line up, and for me I would suggest the 85gr. 4 blade number for her!!

cut on contact broadheads, Magnus, Magnus Broadheads, broadheads, Snuffer, Snuffer SS, SS, Stinger, Stinger Buzzcut, Buzzcut, Bullhead, turkey head, decapitation head, big game broadhead, big game head, whitetail head, serrated blade, lifetime warranty, spin tested, cut on contact, fixed blade, two blade, three blade, four blade, bleeder blade, Dead on contact, D.O.C, black hornet, black hornet ser razor, rage , tooth of the arrow, iron will, g5, grim reaper, muzzy broadheads

85gr magnus 4 blade worked great for my daughter when she was younger and shooting the low poundage, she shot through several hogs at 32lbs draw, kept the shots less than 20 and she made good shot. When she got to 40lbs her arrows were 10-20yds the other side of deer out of the ground blind. She shoots 52lbs now at 13yo and I moved her to the 100gr magnus for a little more dia.

muzzy phantom and steelforce phatt head are 2 good 100gr heads as well as the magnus

600 epic work very well for her setup, mine was shooting ics jrs and they were 330grs with the 85gr, the 10gr per lb arrows really helped penetration at the less than 40lb draw weights. Also a 26" 35lb compound shoots my 425gr arrows just as fast as my 47lb longbow.
