    Not Bowhunting - Cabo

Headed to Cabo soon...can anyone who has sportfished there please post up recommendations of a great charter (and who to avoid if you had a bad experience). I've spent too many guided fishing trips watching the wake all day and then hearing "Oh well, that's fishing".

My brother just returned in late September and they had more than a blast. They chartered TJ Dobson via Pisces Sportfishing and he would recommend them in a heartbeat. Newspaper article below with one of their trophies.

I go down there all the time. It has been 2 yrs. though since my last trip.
I have experience with 2 charter services down there. Picante and Marlin Masters.
I think Marlin Masters might have changed their name to something else, Im not sure.
Both are very good and will put you on fish. I go for Marlins only when I go, so Im not sure about other kinds of fish. Picante is a little more expensive, but heres my delima with both.
The times Ive gone with Picante, I have caught more numbers. When Ive gone out with MM, Ive caught way bigger fish, including me and a buddy catching back to back 215 lbs. and 185 lbs. Striped Marlins, which are way over trophy class fish.
Heres some pics from both, and you can see the size difference in fish:

      Heres some from Picante:

How much does a charter like that cost? Are they expensive like here in the U.S.?

Dang Sink, you used to be skinny............... hahahahaha

I have been to cabo and would recomend either one Sink said or Solmar Fishing.

It all depends on what time of year you go as to what kind of fish they will go for. But it will for sure be a blast.

Just let Sink and I know and we'll meet you down there to party!

I have caught black marlin, this trip I am looking for more of a mixed bag...tuna, dorado, maybe striped marlin. Will have some wives onboard who will get board pretty quickly without something happening. Not interested in reef fishing.

                  Perfect..........

All the marlins should be red hot, along with the dorado, and tuna. Check this website out and it should help with what time of year is the hottest.
