Did anyone else see bucks chasin this past weekend? I had a six pt chasin a doe, gruntin and get'en it!

my friend's wife said she saw a 10pt chasing a doe and had two broken tines. we are in fredericksburg. sure surprised me as i was thinking this area rut is more around thanksgiving

Bucks are probably getting a little frisky cause of the weather and splitting from the bachelor groups. Does are prob not in esterous for another month, at least in Llano where i hunt.

In ETX this weekend, I had a nice mature doe walk out into the oak bottom (outta range), and she walked on. About 1 minute behind her a nice 8 came out and followed the same path. Still early, but I think the interest is there. Our rut generally starts kicking the last week of October in ETX.
