I'm fairly certain that my bosses would eventually fire me if they thought that I didn't want to advance my career all the way to the top. I can't comprehend 1)why that prospective new boss would be upset about what you said, and 2) who in the world would have sent that to him to stir the pot.

I used to think that the folks who would alter their phone or e-mail address on here before posting it were just paranoid. Its hard for me to comprehend that what goes on in here extend beyond these webpages we enjoy but in the last 2 years there have been 3 times I have been approached by someone and asked if I was Jaspro from TBH. My first thought was always that they were a fellow TBH'er. When I asked what their username was they responded "Oh I am not a member there I just like to read". I thought it was weird someone who didn't post but spent enough time here to know who I was.

My take on this is that if could be one of two things....

1. A real a-hole who was trying to P in lee's koolaide, or
2. A casual comment made by someone who is a member (or lurker) to the owner and who had no intention to put Lee in a bad postion.

I would hope that it was #2, but since none of us was there we will never know for sure.

Yes, this is a public forum and yes, people who have know idea about hunting/bowhunting can and will find your posts here if they do a little digging. I've had this happen in the past. Nothing bad came of it, but just a little scary.

I believe so but I didn't push the issue. I just said that I respected his position and so on.

I would hate to think someone here narc'd on one of our own! I may still be living in my little fantasy land where it is 2001 and the green screen is a closed loop where we keep what is said amongst friends to ourselves. I sure hope that the guy simply googled his name, your name, or something, and that someone here didn't try to pee in your wheaties while you weren't looking. I don't want to believe that one of our own is a big enough ****** bag to mess with someone's career!
