This is my first thread. I want to know if there is any way to shoot hogs at night without hog lights. I don't want to spook deer this close to the season. We only have a couple of months.
i think over in the DIY section someone has used solar powered patio lights attached to the feeder legs.
lights up the area under the feeder and also is enough light to make the pins illuminate.
Welcome to the campfire!
Go to Lowe's or Harbor Freight and get a couple of solar powered flood lights. A sight pin light and your are ready. My lights don't bother the deer or hogs.
Odds are, if you're shooting hogs, there aren't any deer there at the time. You're better off shooting the hogs so the deer can use the feeders more, now and during the season.
What I learned is that you want to have a sight that you can see in low light conditions and with a full moon and clear skies your ready to lay down some pork.
