Randy Moss traded back to Vikings for 3rd Round pick

I think this was a good move for both teams..

3rd round pick for a HOFer who still has plenty of gas left? I can't see how its that good of a deal for the pats.

They scored 41 point againts Miami and Moss never touched the ball. Said the lockerroom was getting negitive since Moss made his statements 3 weeks about about this being his last year.

Moss is an idiot....Bill Bellichick doesn't tolerate idiots very well.

        C'mon Welker!

He'll just try and destroy the vikings now. Besides Farve is too old to throw it to him. . .

As a lifelong fan of the Pats, ( I was born in New England, don't hate me!), I have mixed emotions. I think the pats could and should have offered a contract extension. That would have made Moss a happy camper and settled things. I'm not at all happy about getting a 3rd round pick in return but if it means getting rid of a distraction, so be it.

I'm always a fan of a team standing up to the whiney athlete wanting more money. The Pats seem more willing to tell them to take a hike, and it's worked out pretty well for them.

The Pats should have kept him. He still has 2-3 GREAT YEARS left!!! O well hopefully Viks can do it.

You are correct. And I firmly believe they don't need him but not many others possess his skills.

Their special teams scored a good amount of those points. I didn't know anything about his comments or the distraction issue. I just remember a few years ago when the pats went on that tear, Moss had 23 TDs that season beating Jerry Rice's record. To let him go for a third round pick??? Just seems a little strange.

He's been crying about not having a contract extension in place, and not getting enough balls thrown his way. He (like most of these guys) is too stupid to realize that all he has to do is continue to play well, and at the end of the year if he's had a good season.....SOMEONE will pay him!

He just wants to be paid before he does the job, and Big Bill sent him packin. I like it.

Don't hate me Dale. I see it as one good player less on the Pats.

Don't get me wrong, Ed. I'm no fan of the Pats.....aside from having Brady and Welker on my FF team. I just get tired of whiney athletes wanting their money before they do the job, and not wanting to honor contracts that they signed.

I like the move as a I have moss on my fantasy football team and Favre needs a target! Don't hate the player...hate the game!
