yep, he's the modern day hershel walker(not so much but you get what I'm saying), Bill is going to rebuild off the picks he's getting of Randy and now he doesn't have to pay him either

That is what I thought was going on until I found out he only got a 3rd rounder for him. And if he helps the Vikings much, it won't even be a high 3rd rounder.

I thought it was 2-3rd rounders. Now the Pats have 2 picks each round, 1,2,3 & 4th rounds
Moss absolutely initiated the trade based on his subtle hints that he shared with the press several weeks ago. (see below). He made it clearly known that he would be playing elsewhere in 2011. Moss only has 9 catches through 4 games.
Moss was expendable since he is in the last year of his contract as NE would get zero in return unless they traded him. Smart move on NE's part as Moss is now in the NFC and can't come back to haunt them unless they meet up in the SB.
With this trade to Minn. , the Patriots now have 2 picks in each of the first 4 rds of the 2011 draft. (see Paul's reference above) . As much as I despise NE, this organization understands how to win and trade players for draft picks.
I believe Moss is still one of the 10 best WR's in football today yet he plays when he wants to and is only concerned about #81
