Broadhead damage thread

First picture. Sevr 2.1 on the buck I killed on Nov. 8th. This is the exit. The offside shoulder was destroyed. The arrow the the offside shoulder and actually came all the way back out after the buck ran about 30 yards. When I skinned the buck a chunk of lung was stuck in that mess of a exit wound.

Second picture. Sevr 1.5 on the buck I killed yesterday. Complete passthrough. Lungs and rib cage.

Rage extreme. That hole is nearly 5”. First time killing a deer with a mechanical head.

Rage Hypodermic, 28 yd shot. 436 grain arrow. 1st pic entrance. Broadhead hit offside leg bone and just poked through the skin on other side. Deer died in sight.

Rage extreme. Top pic is the entrance the bottom is the exit side. Yes that is lung exposed by the gapping hole in her chest. Complete pass through.

Tooth of the arrow 1 inch 125 grain. 525 grain arrow. Punched front side shoulder, dislocated back side shoulder and rocked out his arm pit. Died in 40.

Blood trail was plenty followable. Definitely not a “murder scene” but a good trail.

A couple of recent skilletheads I shot with the big Sevr. Both holes are entrance holes. Both fell in sight. They leaked pretty well

Rage 2 blade chisel tip through the spine.




Quartering away, he dropped a lot but not quite enough.
Bent one blade, broke the other but not completely. No damage to the tip or the ferrule.

Red stag 26 yards. Rage 2 blade extreme. 35 yard recovery, watched him fall.








No exit on the skin but the last pic is the off side shoulder. Penetrated completely through and was touching the skin.

2 blade Rage Chisel Tip. 16 yard shot from 20 feet up. 100 lb sow, quartering toward me. Broadhead exited but didn’t get a pass through because it hit the ground. One blade broke off as it severed the spine and the other is damaged beyond repair. Ferrule is fine and I’ll replace the blades and shoot it again.
