    Crossbow help

    My dad gave me a cross bow but its not a compound crossbow for like a recurve if that make any sense. But i know you wax your bow string but do you have to put anything on the slide its probable a dumb question.

    Yes you have to lube the rail..

                Make sure you lube the rail everytime you use the crossbow or you will wear your string out fast.

                  This is a pretty good instructional video, on TenPoint Crossbows web site.
                  I'd imagine most of the info would relate to other brands of crossbows as well.

                    There might also be a "slot" in the stock where string the comes into contact with the stock.If your xbow is designed that way lube that slot as well. That's where the string on my Barnett wears the most.
