    Quick question

I just shot a hog and when I retrieved the arrow there wasn't much blood. Question is doesn't a gut shot arrow stink? There was something all over the shaft but it didn't stink at all. Just a little blood on one of the fletchings.

It did look to be a good shot. Held right behind the shoulder quartering away

Lotta fat and gristle to wipe blood off when punched through shoulder.
Wait allotted time,(30 minutes) and go look for blood in direction pig took off.
      You'll be fine.

And for your other question, yes, a gut shot stinks. Your arrow would look and smell like you just shot it through a fresh cow pie. A liver shot smells kind of bad too but not like a gut shot.

Good luck finding it. I shot a 150 lb boar yesterday morning at 12 yards. Tucked it in right behind the front shoulder. Arrow was completely saturated with blood. No sign of blood on the ground and never found the pig. I'm colored blind and can't see little specks of blood like some people. Most of the pigs that I shoot I never find. If anyone has any insight, I would appreciate it.

You need a dog for tracking.

Couldn't find any blood. And nearly got ran over by a group of six or seven pigs while I was trying to find blood. That'll get your heart going. Wish I had a blood trailing dog. Oh well at least it wasn't a deer. And the coyotes will have something to eat.
