    Thought on Mission Menace

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the Mission Menace or maybe some suggestions for something similar.

I'm looking to get my eldest daughter her first bow. She is about to turn 16, she's 5'-10" with a 28" draw and she seems pretty comfortable drawing around 40lbs right now. We borrowed a friends Genesis which she really enjoyed shooting and now she's wanting her own bow, a hunting bow.

Been looking online quite a bit and stopped by a couple of shops to get a little hands on exposure. Stopped by West Houston Archery to look at the Bowtech Soldier but they didn't have any in stock. While there they showed us the Menace which seems like a nice little bow.

My soon to be 12 yr old son shoots one and loves it. It has lots of growing room for him.
Of course, it's not as good as my Bowtech.

Thanks guys I appreciate the input. My son and I both shoot Hoyts and I really don't know much about the other brands. I think I would like to stay with something that can be adjusted without needing to go to the shop every time. From what I've seen on the used bows her draw length and light draw weight limit our options. I expect her to be drawing close to 50lbs pretty soon but I don't want her to start there. I think it better for her to start light and build good skills before raising the weight.

I want to get one for my middle daughter. She'll be 10 on the 14th of this month. She's been shooting a Browning Micro Midas 3 for about a year. It's her 2nd bow. I carried her to shoot a Mission Menace & she loved it. I just haven't convinced my wife that she needs it.

I hear you! Luckily the boss (wife) is on-board with getting the bow. It's the money she's having trouble with. I don't blame her, one of us has the play the part of the grown up and I can tell you it's not me when it comes to spending money on hunting.

Thanks again for the feedback. I do appreciate it.

great little bow, I sell a ton of them and use them in my bowfishing boat myself. You can change the draw length in 30 seconds and no press is even close to being needed. The thing I like about it is you dont have to shoot it backed off at the lower draw lengths because each length has it own weigths for 26lbs max at 17" to almost 60lbs at 30"s. The one i shoot fish with stays at 28" and 51lbs, that bow has been used and abused and doesnt miss a beat!! Cant go wrong in my opion, like them a lot better than the diamond razor edge and has more letoff to boot. hoyt doesnt have a bow with that much adjustment, but they do have a couple nice youth bows as well, but if grows much you have to change cams and strings and cables if your in one of the shorter draws. Kinda like my daughter who is fixing to turn 13, she had been shooting a50lb 23.5" alphamax 32 but grew so much over the summer that its 1 1/2" to short so I bought a 50lb drenalin from a customer cheap and put a 25" cam on it until she hits 26" so I can put a xtr adjustable cam and new strings and cables on her hoyt so I dont have to do it twice, guess gonna have to get new 60lb limbs as well because she is maxed out at 52!!

My 8 yr old has been shooting the menace for a year now. Easily adjustable and haven't had any problems with it. I'd recommend the bow to anyone.

My 11 year old has one and it is great. When I first got it for him I let out the draw length and shot it myself. It is a nice little bow.

My son loves his, only thing I dont like is like stated above as they get stronger you max out the pounds of draw at a lenght, to get more pounds you have to incress draw lenght. My son is maxed out at around 38# at 21" draw lenght. He is 9 and won the asa state championship with his.
