I went from top of the world to the bottom of the valley today. We looked long and hard and just flat ran out of blood. She just quit bleeding. Lost her at a creek and found myself walking every inch of that creek bed looking for one drop but nothing. Hunting in Polk county north of Livingston, Tx for those that were asking. I feel sick about losing that deer. She was actually the first deer I have hit with my bow, one finally didn't duck my string.
On a side note, a wolf walked right under me this morning and it freaked me out. Never seen one in the wild like that.

Polk County near Leggett. Probably just an oversized black coyote or some farmers german shepherd.

They are quite common in east Texas - especially black panthers.

Don't get discouraged. I lost my first two when I started bow hunting several years ago, once you get one down you will never look back.
