leggy...the spyder is the best for serrated knive...You will love the warthog. I've used them all and consider the Edge Pro by APEX to be one of the best. The warthog is just so much easier.
Chew, i can't imagine you having problems unless the blades haven't been shaped with the corser stones or maybe you have one stone set at a different angle. There are 3 adjustment on the one I have so make sure both sides are set to the same angles.

I can't get my Lansky to do more than make a dull blade duller. I've tried and tried. The Smith's Industries $5 yellow sharper with 2 V's in it does a fantastic job on some knifes (My son's Kershaw comes out scary sharp), and zilch on others.
I pay a local guy who owns a knife sharpening and gardening power tool repair shop $7 and it comes back surgically sharp, then I touch it up after using it with my diamond rod sharpener. He uses a very low angle, the bevel is 1/8" wide- good for meat but bad for cutting wood and rope. Whenever I can't get it back to a razor after doing a number of animals, I bring it back to Sergy. I just bought a used 1" x 30" belt sander and order some 320 grit belts, but I don't plan on playing with my couple of really good custom knives on it.
