Hey I've been reading the advice, and some of it has me worried. Considering I live in Corpus and will be flying out of San Antonio, I dont think I will have time to go to houston. I fly out of Texas at around 8 am Friday morning. If I have any trouble I'm pretty sure I can hold my cool for about 2 hours but after that, you might see me on Fox news laying out my political views

I mean I've looked at my passport a dozen times and never noticed the mistake. I'm sure who ever wrote my name out on some form didnt take the line all the way up on the "K" so it made it look like an "H". Funny story, I have a jacket from the Muy grande contest from several years ago that has my name spelled with an H instead of a K. The ladies hand writing just made the k's look like h's. Maybe I should wear that in this 90 degree weather....

Still not sure what to do on such short notice, let them know or play dumb.

You can check in online with the airlines 24 hours prior and you enter your passport number. You can enter it RIGHT NOW to match your reservation. They like 24 hour prior check in to match things up. If it works on the US departure side it "should" work for the return leg. Just save all your boarding passes and print out your ticket information.

Once you enter your passport (or have you already done that with this particular airline reservation...sometimes you can book without entering the number), call the airlines and ask if they see you in the system and IF you entered it correctly. If there are issues, it should be flagged.

I would spell your name correctly with the online process and also call the number for passports and see what they recommend.

This isn“t the best situation but I think enough documentation will assist if there are any issues. If not, send us your jail number and we will send cookies!

I would call the passport agency and plan on making a round trip from Corpus to Houston to SA today if that's what they tell you to do. You may not have an issue, but it'll be a complete PITA if you do. Plus, if you are nervous about it, I'd bet they double check your info. My passport has a typo too, but that's because they ran out of space for my full name - never had an issue with it, but my first and last are correct, It just looks like I have a feminized middle name.
