How much corn?

How much corn can a covey of quail consume? I have a feeder going off twice a day(6sec) and when I check my tc I only have a few pics of anything in the area. But when I show up to feeder I am spooked by a covey and minimal corn on the ground. Can they be the culprits of my missing corn. Or are the deer and hogs just that stealthy?
