Estimated menard tx rut patterns

This is my second year in Menard TX and I was curious as to when the Deer usually hit peak Rut there. Last year I saw younger bucks chasing does around the first of November, but I hear its always around Thanksgiving. Ive got a feeling that its peak is the week before Thanksgiving this year or could it be earlier? Any ideas? Thanks

We use to own a ranch in Menard and I would say the last 2 weeks were the best. The week of Thanksgiving could be awesome if the weather was cold.

For the last 5-6 years it has been the week of thanksgiving. Bring your rattling horns and get ready! It gonna be fun!!!!!

Rattled in a buck the 1st week of December in Menard County. Definitely the peak of the rut is Thanksgiving week.

Taking no chances here! I will be there (Menard) 11/12-11/21 and then returning Thanksgiving day! Last year it seemed to me that is WAS the week before Thanksgiving.

Been there 13 yrs and heavy rut activity been seen early as Nov. 10. Weather seemed to have alot to do with it. We see alot of activity during the week when most hunters are home. Luckily I have a different schedule that allows me to hunt during the week.

Hunted in Schleicher County (just west of Menard county) for years and the best hunting was always the last week in November-first week of December. Occasionally some good rutting activity a little earlier in November, but full blown, great action in later November first of December.

It used to be a guaranteed rut during the week of Thanksgiving. Now it could be a week early or week later. But still generally around Thanksgiving. Rattling is good early-mid November. Cant wait!

Call Kothmann's feed store and they will tell you when it is happening (rain conditions, etc) over the phone.

I have been hunting off of Callan Lane for about 10 years now.
