I bought a new to me bow from a guy in Penn. It has a muelar (spelling) holographic sight on it. Is this legal in Texas?

Not familiar with that specific sight, but as long as it does not project any type of light onto the target / animal, it is legal for use in Texas. Check your annual on page 57 under "Restricted methods - Artificial light".

HHA has one similar and it is perfectly legal. Like already stated, it cannot project on to the target, i.e. laser.

Thanks- I replaced these sights. I had issues with it getting knocked off. I missed a doe at 25 yds. Came back into camp and shot and it was 18"s off. Got it tacking again. Went back out in the field and put a bad shot on another. Had to track her till midnight. It was about 12" off this time. It was off everytime I would move it. Don't know if it was raising it up and maybe bumping something or when I would change the brightness of the recticle? Went back to my old Tru Glo and no more issues. I will not use this sight in the future.
