Try Aldo Leopolds Game Management it's a classic but has formed the foundation for many management strategies used today.

That is a good one. I recommend "Manhunt-The Search for Lincoln's Killers" I could not put it down. This could present a problem on the stand. Will let you borrow my copy.

"We Were Soldiers Once, And Young"--by Harold Moore and Joe Galloway (from Refugio). About the battle of the Ia Drang Valley and a great read on leadership from battalion commander all the way down to squad/section leader.

"SOG" by John Plaster. About our black forces that were doing all the recon across the border along the Ho Chi Minh trail in Laos. All of them had brass, or stainless steel ones (some may have been titanium!).

"Easter Offensive" About the North's invasion of SVN in 1972. The final defensive line got down to about 9" thick--the depth of the chest of a SVN sergeant that laid down in the road and faced down a NVN tank attempting to cross the bridge at Dong Ha.

All three are about the VN war obviously, and when you read SOG and come across a guy named "Howard", pay attention--he was recommended for the Medal of Honor 3 times--and did receive it. Recently passed away in Waco.

Guess you can tell which war was "my war"--

Another one every American should read is "Islam and Terrorism" by Mark Gabriel. He is a PhD Islamic Scholar from Cairo University who is now a Christian. He lays it on the line about what the Koran says, and what we should/can expect from militant muslims.

I've read Rogue Warrior and Marcinko's next book. Read Lone Survivor and We Were Soldiers..........

All great books. Rescue of Streetcar 304 is better in my opinion. It is about a Navy pilot shot down and rescued and the men who died or were captured trying to get to him. The entire sequence took just less than two days and it is almost a minute by minute account of the event. It is better than the famed than Bat 21 about a similar incident. It is hard to put down and will have you sweating when you do.

^These are awesome books on hunting Africa, and the dangers that go with it. I have all of his books, some are just good, others are great.

Also, Horn Of The Hunter by Robert Roarke.

You must read "Empire of the summer moon" It is about the Comanches in Texas, especially Quana Parker.
