I'm shooting an '02 PSE The Beast that I got from a friend who had never shot it. It's been sitting under a bed for about 7 years!
Gonna switch out the strings next week, though, at the suggestion of two different bow shops.
It has a Trophy Ridge Matrix 5-pin and a Trophy Ridge Drop Zone.
Pulling 70#, 31" draw with a 425 grain Gold Tip Velocity XT. It's shooting at 253 FPS, which I was told is plenty enough to get the job done.
Good rig. And your right, how fast it gets to the spot is not near as important as hitting the spot! As someone here puts it, a fast miss is still a miss.
