Ivomec is used for many things from heartworms, and many different kinds of worms, and also great for mites, I would also try this on your dog. You can give orally or spread around on spots NOTE: Do not give oral if you cant get the right dosage for the weight of your dog.. I had same problem with one of my dogs, after oral treatment 1x a week till gone, has not has problem since. took about 5 weeks to heal up, can take more or less time depending on the dog.

We are currently giving him an antifungal spray, Dermalyte (some kind of lotion),
Hydoxzine (pill), Cortisone shots, a sulfur dip and some shampoos that are just supposed to do I don’t know what. And I will look in the morning but I think there might be a couple other things. Leave on lotion medicated shampoos the whole 9 yards nothing has even come close to working

They work great for the right things but can actually make problems worse if used for the wrong ones.

Muzzy, let me know what tests they did and their diagnosis. Does trychophyton or microsporum sound familiar? These are the most likely ones. It sounds like the systemic meds are your next step. I would go with itraconazole dosed once a day. This one has the least affects on the liver. If the liver is functioning fine now, then he will likely tolerate it well. Combining this with amphotericin B is very affective, the problem is this is an IV med; it does not absorb well orally.
Since he is more affected than your other dog, he could have something else going on as well. Many times there are other things that are suppressing their immune systems and allowing the fungal infections to continue. Hyperadrocorticism, hypothyroidism, other chronic disease processes as well can all do this.
If it is one of the above fungal diseases, stopping the cortisone (steroid shots) will be helpful as well.

You asked for a home remedy.... here it is.
This may sound strange but try it. Find some regular corn meal, horticultural corn meal is better, put it in a stocking or old panty hose (about 1.5 cups full) and soak it in a bowl of hot water for 30 mins. After you have made a corn meal tea in the bowl, pour it and rub it on the dogs skin. Use the bag of wet corn meal to squeeze the juice on the area and rub it in. do this three times a day. It will set up a bacteria that feeds on fungus but will not harm the dog. The corn meal tea will also sooth the irritation of the the dry skin. You will notice that your hands will fell very soft after you apply to the dog. I take the corn meal out of the stocking and rub it on the dog and let it sit there. If the dog will sit or lay in a tub with the corn meal tea it works better. You will see results in a week. You may also try using Munster Natural Dog Food. This is the best dog food on the market ! It will help with the dogs health in every way.
