I know of a local Credit Union that had over 300 in its possession.

No way it's that high even counting the second/third chance lots. 20,000 a month is almost a quarter of a million a year.

Local repo guy had a stack of repo orders that was over an inch thick. They have more work than they can keep up with.......

Wouldn't surprise me, but that's a LOT of vehicles for one month...

Keep in mind that a lot of the auto lots were financing some questionable folks just like the mortgage industry. It's as easy to default on a car as it is a home and who knows... But 20k in one month is a bit high I'd say.

That's about 667 cars/day. Where would they store them all, what other logistics have to go into that? I think you'd see a significant increase in the gallons of gas purchased, as the tow truck drivers would be swarming like crazy.

That's probably exaggerated but I bet they are high.

Glad all of mine are paid for.

I have a customer in Dallas that's in the repo business. He's been crazy busy.

I have a hard time believing 20,000 in a month. 2,000 would be more believable
