Anybody ever used the magnus bh?

Was thinking about getting my son some magnus screw on braodheads to shoot out of his crossbow. I use the stingers but was thinking about getting him the 125 grain black ones. They look wicked but don't know how they fly.

Do they cut good as they look like they should?

I usually sharpen them up out of the pack but once I've done that they fly and cut just fine.

Magnus makes good broadheads, or Uncle Ted would not endorse them!!!

I shoot the 125 grain stingers from my recurve and they fly just like my field points. I'll let you know how they cut after the second week of the season

I shoot stingers and love them but haven't seen them in 125 grain. Dis see the regular screw ins and they look good but didn't know how they flew. Figured fine like the stingers.

I've used those before, probably 15 years ago or so. They fly just as good as any when all your equipment is tuned up right.

about 4 out of the 6 will balance out on a spin test.......they fly like darts.

they leave a wicked hole when a quarting away shot is placed thru the ribs.......most deer drop in sight with a good shot.

                    i like the 100 grain.

They are wicked on hogs, deer and elk. I personally shoot the three blade Snuffer 125 grain. You have to sharpen them out of the package, some people like this, some don't. I personally like putting my own edge on the broadhead.

The Snuffers tend to produce a three sided hole, the size of the cutting diameter, not just a three sided cut and arrow sized opening inside, producing huge entry and exit holes. Magnus has a lifetime warranty on any damaged head and a quick turn around on mailing them out.

I shot them for a while and had good luck on hogs. I did have to sharpen them out of the package, but I want my BH's shaving sharp. My son now shoots them in 100 grain. They are about the cheapest solid head you can buy. I just bought a pack of 6 for $18 bucks at Academy.

I've killed a bunch of animals with the simple, cheap 2-blade 100grain, vented broadheads.

Good- I bought them for my recurve, tried on my compound and they flow like my Thunderheads out to 60 yards in practice shooting.

Bad- They're tough to resharpen for me.

Good- You mail them back and they send you new broadheads, factory sharp.

Bad- I have had lousy to no bloodtrails on deer and pigs

Good- All the pigs and deer I've shot ran 30-40 yards max and then did a nose-dive and took a dirt nap so I saw exactly where the dead animal was to recover, no blood trailing needed.
