Incredible aerial maps!

*sigh* looks like they are just hyper focusing on urban areas...

I checked our ranch between Poteet and Devine and the pictures are older than Google Earth there too..some cattle shelters we built at least 5 years ago aren't on it...

then I checked my office in downtown SA and those are MUCH newer and higher resolution than Google...I can tell by looking at my employees cars that it was probably taken in the last 6 months and has super resolution...

Downtown Austin has fantastic resolution.
Better than Capcog.
The land surveying firm I work for will love this.

I looked at downtown Austin and with in the same photo, the shadows are going 2 different directions. I guess they are cropping sevreal pictures together. Good clarity. Wish the hunting areas were that clear.

I just looked at my brother's house, and the pictures differed depending on the which compass direction you looked at. Some had cars in front, others didn't. I'm guessing they had merged 4 different images in the database and have some fancy software to pull the correct one depending on compass view. Still amazing, and pretty scary. When I get an address of a new business contact, often I'll check to see if it's a business or home address, and if it's home I can see what the house and yard look like- all in less than 1 minute.
