Anybody use a Scott Silverhorn release?

I used to have a Scott Little Bitty Goose that I really liked but it has mysteriously disappeared. The problem I had with the IBG was the small size of the caliper. The Silverhorn is an open hook designed for string loops. Just wondering if anyone has one.

I bought one but I didn't like the nylop strap, NCS, or whatever they call it. I much prefer a more rigid setup. Easier to keep in my hand.

Check out the Scott Wildcat ... other than the nylon strap, it's more like the LBG.

          I've got 2 that...

I hunt with. Both are the buckle type with the Nylon Connector Strap(ncs). Like Pablo said, its the same basic concept as the truball SnS. However, I gradually started punching my short-n-sweet after about 6-7 months of continual use. Took me a while to figure it out what was happening. Turns out the SnS's trigger began to get harder to pull the more I used it, almost like something was wearing out internally. Under little or no tension the trigger was smooth and light as butter, but under the tension of full draw it was definately heavier to pull. No matter how I adjusted the trigger tension.

So far I really like the Silverhorn. I got over a year of continual use on one of them and it still feels like the day I got it. I did put the SnS's leather buckle strap on it though. The Silverhorns black leather strap was kind of thin and flimsy for me. The camo buckle version is beefier. It has a bit of trigger travel to it(some would say too much), but it is so smooth and light, I got used to it in no time. They're definately worth a try.

Walker do you still have the release and would you care to part with it? My LBG had the NCS strap on it and I liked it because I could tuck it out of the way when I needed to.

Mike, I'll have to look. I think Strawberry took it.

Is it the NCS model or the rigid one?

                  Walker just let me know.

I've been using the Silverhorn for about a month and totally love it. Get one and you'll never go back to a caliper release...
And check out e-bay. I got mine, new still in package, for about $50...
PM me and I'll give you the person/company I bought from.
