    Game Cams for Security

Sheriff suggested we use game cams on major trails to catch trespassers. He said mount the at 10' and angle downwards. Anyone do this ?

Did it yrs back, to catch the person that was tearing up our feeders. It was an infared cam., put in about 15 ft. up in tree. Got the pics I needed to catch the person. It worked like a charm.

Mine watches the lane up to the house at all times. Mounted about 10 ft. up and looking down the lane. It doesn't miss any comings and goings.

Yes I have. Used an IR cam to catch a thief.

I might have to try that. We've had stuff lifted from our cars in the driveway. Sure would have been nice to get pics of them to hand to the officers.

Which camera are you using? I know they are the IR, but what brand. I just bought a Remington X6 SS IR, but they have red and green lights that blind when activated. I have used the Leaf River camera, but have had to send it back off for repairs. Bob

Thanks Tim, does the camera have any visible ligts that go other than the IR when it is set off. The Remington that I have has a red led and green led that goes off when the camera gets set off, unless I am doing something wrong and do not have it set right. I will know later when I check the pics on the camera. Bob
