Do pigs keep deer from coming to the feeder?

This goes along with my previous thread about the hog panels. If you dont put up panels will the deer still visit the feeder even with the amount of pigs we have?

Pigs make deer very spooky around feeders. Anytime I have pigs and deer, I always build hog proof feeder pens. If I only have a few hogs then I might let them come around every once in a while

Keep the pigs out if you can, deer don't like to mingle with em..

Could always tell when the hogs were coming in on my last hunting area, deer would look up and walk out as fast as they could.

Yes, hogs definitely keep deer from utilizing feeders, put the panels up in a heartbeat, even if they are too short they will keep at least some of the hogs out. I have bad flashbacks thinking about how many hogs I have seen in my life when I was in the woods looking for a good buck. Hogs are a blast to bow hunt but you are stacking the cards against you if you don't give the deer a chance to use a protected feeder.

Yes, and they will run off deer when they are at a feeder...I have seen this happen right in front of me. A 50# pig can scatter a group of almost a dozen deer just by acting aggresive.

Yep....no doubt about it. That's why you rarely see a trailcam pic with hogs and deer together.

Kill all the pigs.Problem solved.Fill the freezer,give to friends,hunters for the hungry,etc!!!
