    Bird Reports N. of Lubbock

Anyone have any Teal or dove reports between Lubbock and Amarillo?

Headed up this afternoon for a weekend shoot and I am hoping the fronts that blew through the area haven't effected the birds

Not sure about the teal, but it's been a slow year for dove so far. I'm between Lubbock and Amarillo. I haven't heard any great reports. I do see a lot of birds around (mostly in town), but once you get out to a hunting area, I think there is just a lot of grain on the ground all over, so that spreads the birds out. Some areas are wet from a rain yesterday, and some places are still dry, so not sure if that will help with the birds or not.

Where are you guys going specifically?

    Hope that helps!

Been a few times south of town....Nothing great, but we did manage to get a couple of dove. It rained last night, so who knows what that did.

I don't have an idea about the dove since the storms blew through last night, but prior to that, there were a lot of them in the area just south of Plainview. No idea at all on the Teal, though. Good luck.

I can't help you for Tulia, but the farm I have been hunting that is sunflowers and milo has sucked everytime. The pond directly south of that field has been killer on the other hand...with the rain last night though, who knows if that scattered them even more...

Sounds like we will have to see what the rains have brought to the area.

At least we have targeted 2 types of birds if the doves headed out

Thx to all for you updates

              Good hunting to all
