    Rant......AT&T Uverse...

SUCKS!!!!!!!!! Noting but trouble since I switched from another provider. BTW, not my first post about this. Unreliable as H-E Double Hockey sticks. Can't keep a constant signal to save it's ARSE.

Don't do it. Imagine ur watching the Superbowl and the Cowboys/Texans are in it and winning against ur most hated teams. Last quarter and ur team is on an awesome drive but losing. A field goal will win it....seconds left and the FG unit is running out to kick it an win.....

Uverse WILL go out. Just sayin...I am spitting nails.

    Thanks for listening.

I had UVERSE and loved it, great picture, the internet was fast, and I never had trouble. Now I moved and ATT and Verizon both are not in my neighborhood, so I am back with TWC. I have those problems with TWC but I never had any issues with Uverse. What all is going so bad?

Maybe it's my area (SW Houston) but atleast three times a week I loose signal And this has happened for months. Every time it happens I say I'm out but now I'm out.

For no reason (ie. Weather related etc.) it just stops. I was watching a great show and 3/4 of the way it just stopped...not for the first time either. I loose phone, internet and TV.

It Pi$$E$ me off....for awhile now

That sucks. It was the same problem I had with TWC. Have had Uverse for a few years and it is the best cable provider I have had. When it first started, there were glitches at times, but they have updated the software a few times and now it is awesome. I am off of Fry, south of 10. Have you had them switch out the box? Sorry about the problems, I would be ****** too.

I started to get U Verse, but then i would no have satellite at the lease, so i didn't sign up. I have had dish for a long time and have had zero problems.

My television signal is pretty consistent. It has gone out twice that I can remember in almost 2 years. But the internet is a whole 'nother story! Spotty as can be. Downloading a large file is totally hit and miss. Instant messengers are constantly signing in and out because of loss of signal.

Went through the same exact problem as you. I just kept calling and emailing every time. They replaced the gateway. Re-pulled the wire in the alley. It took over a month of back and forth and over a solid week of absolutely no service at all. The contracting company that put it in on the street used a bridge tap. After digging a new hole and running new cable in the alley, it finally has been quite solid.

Ride them like a stolen mule. They'll eventually fix it. Then keep track of outage and ask for a refund. We got refunded for the outage time (created by one of their techs). Opening numerous trouble tickets gets lots of unwanted attention. They really prefer to only have one open and just repeat calls on it. I didn't care what they wanted, I was paying for service so I opened one after each time they visited and it wasn't fixed. That occurred within an hour or two more than once.

The problem ultimately stems to being a new area for them. It was here at least.

I have U-Verse at my place and it works flawlessly. My girlfriend has it at her place and it was going out consistently a few times a week. We had 3 different technicians come out. Finally, on the fourth try they actually checked the box outside (feeding into the apt complex). That's where the problem was. Zero hiccups since then. Just be nice to them but continue to call and pester them...daily if you have to. Make sure you ask for discounts....might get a month or so free since they can pull a report that shows every single time your signal goes out.

had the EXACT same thing happen....freeze city

called tech support finally...explained everything. they started a case, and said to record every time it froze and call them back in 24 hrs. so I had a list of about 30 times when I called back...tech ordered a service call...next day a dude came out, checked the inside stuff (which I'd already done), then went outside. took him about 3 minutes outside to find the problem. some box, or big connection/splitter thing was a really old version (by several years). slapped a new whatsamahoozit on, and no more freezes...that was like 6 months ago.

Wife's cousin is having an allout war with em trying to get the same thing fixed up in austin...multiple service dudes, all doing something different...still jacked.

So far, my experience with ATT has been positive...phone/tv/net/wireless
