    shaft_slinger00 final report

first off i would like to talk everyone for your thoughts and prayers while i went threw this time in my life. went to the dr today for the final time and he said all is well and released me to go back to work. kinda bitter sweet since i have been off for the past month. the dr said all we are waiting on is to see if i get my feeling in my thumb back, which could take months. he also should me a pic he took with his Iphone right before surgery and emailed it to me. looks like i might make it to the lease for opener, the only problem is my bow still isnt sighted in, and im a bit nervous about shooting again. thanks once again, and may god bless.

Glad you are doing better. You know you have to pick that bow back up and shoot...ride the horse that threw you kinda deal. Maybe you should crank it down until your arm/hand heals completely.

And don't forget, chicks dig scars!

I am very glad to hear that you are healing up nicely. I broke both of my arms playing on one of my childrens christmas toys (rip stick) 2 years ago on christmas day. After a plate, some screws and long recovery, I shoot better now than ever. Like quarterback says, crank your bow down a little, and work your way back up. You will be better than new in no time.

Glad you're doing better. Everytime I see the "before" pic, it makes me cringe! Hopefully you'll get your feeling back in your thumb before too long. Take your time getting back into the swing of things. Crank your poundage down, (not being a smart ... ) check your arrows and let 'er fly!

You almost made it to P&Y during your time off!

I got a 3d you can practice on all day buddy, just give me a call. The thumb will get feeling back eventually, and the best way to get rid of that nervousness would be to take Al up on his offer and start flinging 'em.

If you need anything give me a buzz.

Good to see you doing better....there is plenty of time to be able to cure that fear of the 20 gauge.

Good report. So if I understand what you're saying is that you could bow hunt this year?

If you need some arrows I just switched to Full Metal Jackets and now have some Mayhems laying around if you want them.

Hey man, I'm glad you are doing well... it is a great praise report. One thing you could do to help you psychologically is to wear an arm guard that is solid material on your bow arm to protect it in the event of another failure similar to what you have experienced. Just take it slow and easy and work back up to where you were. You'll have plenty of time to get ready... don't rush it... better to be 100% by second or third week rather than reinjure yourself trying to make it at 80% on opening day.

thanks for the offer jim, but i made the decision to not shot anymore carbon express products. ok ok, i lie my wife said i cant shoot them anymore.

i am going to start shooting in a few days i think, i know i keep preaching to check yalls arrows and im sure everyone is getting tired of it, but let this be food or thought. i got my first hospital bill in today, and all i can say is thank god for insurance, my part is just a little over 1600, but the total hospital bill was almost 18k. arrows are cheap.
