To Bow Hunt or Dove Hunt Opening Weekend

I just can't decide. It's either a South Texas Dove hunt or trip to Colorado County to try to stick a deer.

Anyone in the Colorado County area seeing any activity yet???? I have just seen a few small ones on my game camera.

Wouldnt even be considered in my house, lol. Ill be in the deer stand with my bow from October through January, no exceptions!

Plus, deer tastes a LOT better than dove.

I would normally say bowhunt, no question. But I really love dove hunting and given my lack of luck in that department this year (have not popped a cap!) I would be tempted to go shoot a mess o' birds and start my bow season the second weekend.

I hunt in colorado county.....bow hunt for sure!!! nothing like opening day when they dont know ur there. I havent seen much this year compared to last but i know they are there. Slowly seeing more bucks
