Get you a bunch of 55 gallon drums with good lids that will seal. Then buy it in the field for 1/2 price or less. I know it's hard to buy as much as you may want for all year, but it will help your over all bill for the year.. Make sure it has been tested. You don't want to kill your bird ( Quail, Turkey, ect) population.

      Just my $0.02

That's actually not a bad price right now. We bought a couple of 50# bags for $7.25 ea the other day. That hurt.

Prices are slwly dropping on corn right now anyway. The bulk corn they get out here at the dairy has dropped from $199 a ton to $170 a ton in 2 weeks.

I paid $6.10 a bag in Goldthwaite last week. Then because of the water I could not even get into my feeder, so it's in the land owner's barn for now. I have a lease locally and corn here is $6.95 a bag. Guess it depends on where you're at.

Try buying some protein... The feed truck can not make it into the ranch so I bought 12 bag's of AntlerMax that sh** was 9.50 per bag $114.00 for 600lbs just last year I was giving $270 per ton (bag) now it's $380.00/ton

I bought the corn at Leopold Grain dryers in Nada and it has been moisture tested. They charge .40cents for a bag so next time I will bring my own and they also give a lower price if you buy it in bulk but I did not ask how much.

I'm paying $5.15 per 50# bag for a ton...That's the best price I've found and I've looked at a lot of places from San Antonio to two hours south of San Antonio...

Buy from the field. A farmer told me that so much corn was planted this year that there may not be enough places to store it so it will be getting cheap in the fields so it doesn't go to waste.

                        Yeah,
I can't afford to buy bagged corn. Barrells and gutted out chest freezers are great for corn storage.
