It has been a long time coming and it is finally here.

It took a while and it wasn't always easy because you see things you want to get for whatever reason. However as of yesterday I am relatively debt free. The only financed thing I have is my house and it is 4 years from being paid off. I didn't do the Ramsey plan to a tee I modifid it a ittle bit but he did inspire me to get serious about getting out of debt. I don't think the reality has really set in for us just yet but I am feeling great this morning. To those that are trying to do this dont give up and to those that are thinking about it. JUST DO IT! You will be glad you did. Dont worry about the setbacks that you will encounter (and you will encounter them) becasue you WILL overcome them and be in control of your money and your life and so far it is a great feeling.

Stay strong and fight the good fight.

Congrats. Been there for a couple of years now and for some reason I seem to sleep better at night.

I've been free for a few years myself and man it feels good. Now it is strictly a cash only life, if I don't have the cash I don't buy it.

              Good for you!!

We had a Christian financial management/planning seminar at church about 10 years ago, and the speaker gave some scary numbers about the debt load the average Christian was carrying. I can only imagine what it must be now. We live within our means--only a house payment and car payment, and the car payment is 2x the house payment.

And, best of all, we pay God first, and always have money left over at the end of the month!!
