Some guy has a whole pasture full of them off 287 west of W. Falls. Never understood why, but it sure gives the kids something to look forward to on the drive to great grandma's place.

There use to be some camels on a back road near where I grew up. We won a many a bets with the girls we where backroading with telling them we bet them we can see a camel in 10 minutes.

I drive 287 out near Electra, TX and see the camels on every trip. Its cool how they eat up every tree up to a certain height.

The camels on 287 are on our deer lease, they may be taken off soon if not already. We don't hunt the area they are on because they run up to you looking for a handout .

I didn't know camels could drive. That's probably why they are sticking to the back roads - DPS would nail them in a second.
