Just like Golden Nuggets

For the past year I have been buying a nugget type deer feed that smelled like persimmons. The feed store I was buying them from went out of business. Does anyone know where I could buy this type of feed or a feed mill that makes them.

so it a corn replacement that is just like Record Racks Golden Nuggest? Is it cheaper? We feed Golden Nuggets out of our spin feeders instead of corn

yes it's just like golden nuggets & it was 6.50 a bag in Brownwood Tx but the feed store I bought it from has closed down. I can't find it anywhere. I just called Gander Mountain & they said they have never heard of it.

Yes tractor supply has the Record Rack golden nuggets. They are pretty pricey. The one I'm looking for is called deerlicous they are about half the price as Record Rack.

wow, PLEASE let me know if you find this stuff again! We are willing to pay the price of Golden Nugget because the deer flat LOVE that stuff, but if we could get something that was the same thing and was cheaper then I would be VERY interested. Is it 13% protein just as the Golden Nugget is?

I think they were 14% protein & 10% fat. The fat sure helps the deer make it thru the rut.

RingSteel....thanks Temp feed has it but it is 11.25 a bag thats pretty pricey.
Jupe north on San Antonio has it for 10.00 a bag.

Is it 13% protein just as the Golden Nugget is?

We haven't fed protein before, but we've been thinking about starting. Is 13% protein really enough to influence antler growth? I think corn is something like 9% protein, and I remember reading somewhere that a deer needs an average diet of 14% protein to stay healthy. Is it worth the extra cost?
