    Test Drove some bows

This is my personal opinion of these three bows on the market. All 29" set 63-65 pounds. Location Cabelas.

    Fred Bear the Truth Score=C+

Not smooth at all in the draw. Lots of hand vibration. Felt kind of bulky. Shot decent. Speed was good. Could barely keep it at the backwall. Decent on quiet. felt heavy. but that's bout it.

    PSE Firestorm X= C+

Another decent bow some hand vibration. Decent size. Pretty maneuverable. speed was good. Felt very jumpy at the back wall. decent on quiet as well. overall decent.

    Diamond Black Ice= B

Good mid grade bow. Speed was great. Draw Not the greatest for being smooth. But it's a single cam so i wasnt expecting it to be ultra smooth. Some handshock. Back wall was solid. Good midgrade bow.

Overall disappointed on this round of shooting these bows. Not that impressed with the rack model bows for these companies.

I went and shot some bows this weekend as well, and ended up buying the Drenalin.

I shot all the big name Bowtechs and the Drenalin.

IMO the Dren was just too silky smooth to pass up.

      Good luck with your search!

Go Test Drive the Guardian, and you won't have to shoot anymore...

They are some fine shooting bows!!!

I have mine set-up @ 30.5 inch draw with a string loop @ 64 LBS with a 360 grain arrow and got 298 FPS through the Chrono at Triple Edge Archery. (I have the Trophy Ridge Drop Zone Rest)

There is absolutely no hand-shock what so ever. These bows are so smooth it is unbelievable.

MC, you owe it to yourself to go and shoot the Bowtech line, I told the owner at Triple Edge, I do not honestly know how anyone could shoot anything along with Bowtech and then choose to spend money on the other bow. There is absolutely no comparison...

Good luck with your decision, let us know!!!

I've sold a lot of the new 07 firestorm X and think they are very good for the application. (walking / blind / brush hunting)...

Put a stablizer on it, limbsavers in the limbs and some string shox and you'll have a nice bow.

Check out the Guardian, Drenalin, PSE Mossy Oak X, Ross Cardiac, Tribute, Allegiance & Vectrix. Might consider the Vulcan, but those are very small on brace height.....

I have them all let me know if you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them.

Archery Evolution did some testing on many of the bows. http://www.archeryevolution.com/news.php

Just something you may check out. For me it came down to Guardian, Tribute and Drenalin. I went with the Tribute and still glad of that choice today. Heck, just goes to show it's all IMO since the Tribute was not even tested by them.

Good hunting with the one you choose or by the way it sounds the one you already chose.

I would have to disagree with this statement. I own a Guardian and an XT. If I had to pick one for a hunt tomorrow...it would be my XT. Smoother draw, better let-off......more accurate(at the moment). I can't believe that with all the technology put into Bowtechs, they can't get true 80% let-off. 'twist this, twist that, don't tie a rest cord to the cable cause it will change the let off and performance......' Don't get me wrong, I like the bow but my sig. says it all.

MC, shoot a Ross 331, an XT, Vectrix and a Drenalin. I think you might find a winner in one of them if you aren't a complete speed freak.
