yeah we got prickly pear too, trust me wish we didnt have cedars they are takin over. How much protein is in the prickly pear fruit? or is it mainly carbs.

Come on now, Your an A&M grad.... You of all people should know to just burn the cedars.. (Trust me THEY HATE FIRE) Forget that 250-700 dollar an acre mechanical removal crap. I just burned out 200 acres of cedars in one afternoon. And it cost me about 5 gallons of gas and diesel plus the help of about 5 guys.
