    wind checker

I was at the lease driving t post and filling feeders.

I decided to tie the little white strings from the bags on corn onto tree branches and a few t posts for a wind check that I can see from my stand.

Thought it was a cheap good idea that I would share.

Good idea on the string on the T posts, but they will get tangled in the trees the first time you have a strong wind.

I have a 2-3" thread taped to the inside of my riser for an indicater.

I have also used a short piece of white thread ties to the end of my stabilizer with a small tuft of cotton or small feather.

I use milkweed seeds. They float and pick up any direction change or thermals.

Use strings every year on feeders & stands, works great as a wind indicator.

I try to know which way the wind is blowing before I go to my stand...but good idea nontheless.
