Anyone hunt the Type 2 dove fields around Krum???

Went today and there were no birds. Going to wait for next front to come through before trying again.

Has anyone hunted these areas? When doves are down are they any good?

went last year on opener and shot 7 but after that went three different times nad saw very few birds

I work in the big city of Krum and the guys I've talked to said they havent been getting hardly anything. BUT we were sitting outside the fire dept this evening and i bet we saw 50 -80 birds fly by.

Yea, I parked at the school across from the fire station and rode out with a buddy to look at the fields. Not hardly a bird in the field, but they were flocking in town. Could have had a heckuva shoot in the school parking lot LOL

hunted type II for dove around krum for yrs..never was really any good. you are right though. they flock to the "out of bounds zone". down south towards meridian seemed better.
