Passing on the passion
As you might know already I am 16 and go to a small private school in Austin. Because of the location, admissions, and many other factors, the kids who also attend my school have done very little to nothing in the great outdoors. With that said, I love to fish hunt and just be around anything outside (except building fence
). Furthermore I am trying to start a fishing club at our school, to help introduce and pass on the great traditions and knowledge I have come to love and cherish.
The problem I currently face, along with many others, is money. I do not have the money to furnish enough equipment to efficiently take my fellow classmates on excursions to get them involved. As such, I am trying to get a few sets of group equipment together, and maybe some sponsorships from companies to help me overcome the financial problem standing in the way of passing on my passion.
In conclusion I am asking for small donations, of fishing equipment, or money if you feel so compelled.
If you have an old boat that needs some tlc, but may be able to run again, i am willing to put my own time and labor into getting something for our team to fish out of.
For the business owners in this crowd, I have a 18ft kenner already, and am looking to put company logos and graphics on my personal boat to advertise in gratitude for any support that may come our way.
