The new Bulk Buy cameras... Report!!

I'm still at the lease and will resize and post pics later, but I just wanted to let everyone know that these new cameras that Rob got us hooked up with are top notch!! They have picture quality at least as good as the CuddeBacks, and probably better. You can zoom on a deer in the background and he don't fuzz out like they do with the Bushnell's that are in the small package like these. I set one camera out for still shots and another beside it set for video... The video is AWESOME! The only thing it doesn't do is put a date/time stamp on the video. You can look at the file date/time and get it, but the video is very clear for as small as the camera is.

I'm up for the next bulk buy when Rob wants to put one together for sure. I will get a bunch of them this time now that I know how well they work.

Agreeed. Both mine are working great. I set them up around the house and the videos and still pics are outstanding.

They both go to the lease tomorrow.

I put 2 of the newest "bulk buy" cams out last weekend.

1: If you don't want great pics of your deer, don't buy these!!

2: If you don't want to be able to trigger off of animals outside of your pen, don't buy these!!

A couple of samples of my "bulk buy" cams.

Charlie, if you are using that Media Reader that we bought to view them on a TV, the time date stamp may be on there. On our Bushnell Trophy Cams pictures it is on the very bottom of the TV screen and you can only see the very top of the banner. I thought it was a setting on the Media Reader but its not. Then I thought it was the old analog tv but its not that either. I took the Media Reader to Best Buy and hooked it up to a digital flat screen and the same thing. The guy at Best Buy said it was probably something that the camera was doing in the way it formatted the pictures. If you view the pictures on a computer you can see the time date stamp. Might not be the same for your camera but thought I would throw that out there. Glad you are happy with you new camera.

Hey Oscar, I put a 2gig card in the camera for photos and a 16gig card in the camera for the video clips. I'm sure both cards will be full before I get back to the ranch to check them out. I'll not be there until probably the archery season opener Oct. 3.

Larry, my viewer does the same thing to all the different trail camera pics on our old CRT style TV at the deer camp, but the one I have at home displays the pics properly with the stamp at the bottom on my flat screen Sony. I watched the video on both the TV and the computer, then checked the manual that came with the cameras, and there is not stamp on the videos...

That's a bummer Charlie. It really helps to know the date and time to help pattern critters sometimes.

I will have to hook my viewer up to my 40 inch Samsung and see if I can see the date and time. The smaller digital at Best Buy still cut it off at the bottom just like my old analog TV at the lease. I guess it's just the way that the Bushnell Trophy cams format the date and time on the picture.

Can someone share the model number on that with me? It's on the box? kg650 or somesuch?

                    Thanks.

                    Nice pics!

We just put ours up yesterday morning. The few pictures it took that I looked at were great! I won't be back for a couple weeks and will update when I get them. Sensitivity was set at normal, so hopefully there are pics of leaves moving.

Night shots look better than the CuddeBacks... less graininess (if that is even a word)...

The ones we got were the KG680 (LCD but no color display).

                        Thanks.

                        Nice pics!

Casey, I would strongly suspect a ScoutGuard SG 680 would be the same.

I was looking into this and I also found that a DLC Covert HR 8.0 is the same camera...

                              PM your way Casey....
