Some one tell me about the Fread Bear Truth

alot say it is a real good shooter and has a nice price tag. I personally have never shot one, but I have pulled one back and it was smooth as most single cams are.

As mush as they ask for it you would be better off with a Mathews.

Already got a mathews why get another they dont brake? JK I will shoot the Classic against it but I think it will smoke the classic hands down. If this bow was made by Bow tech I bet it would sell for a lot more!

One of the guys I guide with bought one a few months ago and loves it. It has a nice smooth draw very similar to my switchback. Didn't chrono it but shooting side by side with me his bow is just as quiet and as fast and maybe even a little faster. I don't particularly like the way they look with the green accents but that is just a personal preference.

I chronoed mine at 399 gr arrow with a 29 inch draw @ 72#'s shot 294.

My brother got one in Feb. and he loves it. I shot it a few times and was very nice shooting bow in my opinion.

I've read nothing but good things about them but I could do without the bright green on the cams and limb pockets

Well I am needing a fast bow as I am dropping my poundage down to 60 from 70. I want a highend bow without the price tag and from what I have read and seen this thing is a steal. Bear seems to have made a turnaround in the last yr and I honestly think they might be on the verge of challenging the big names or prices at least. Cant shoot right now due to shoulder problems and thats why I am asking you guys what yall think!

If you have shoulder problems a Switchback XT is what you are gonna want. Fred Bear cant even come close to the big boys.

Not smooth at all in the draw compared to a Switchback XT. Lots of hand vibration. Felt kind of bulky. Shot decent. Speed was good. Could barely keep it at the backwall. It is constantly wanting to jump. Decent on quiet. felt heavy. but that's bout it.

If you're spending that much why not go the distance. Get a bowtech or mathews. Fred Bear products just dont cut it. If you want a bow shoot a good bow. But if all you've ever shot is the mid grade bows you'll never know the distance. I'm shooting an 01 Mathews Q2 and it is far dominant to this bow. If you've shot a mathews anything less than a bowtech or mathews will feel like junk in your hands.
